Back To School Hairstyles

Here are some of our favorite Back to School Hairstyles:

1. Layered Hairstyle with headbands

2. Straight Bangs - with headbands again

3. Choppy layers - for small and medium length hair

4. Cute Low Pigtails

5. Ponytails

6. Ponytail that is held back up

7. Half up-Half down (A ponytail made using partial section of hair)

8. Side swept bangs

9. Comb a small section from the top of your hair and make a thin side braid. Leave the rest of the hair down.

10. Comb a small section of hair from the top, twist it and pin it, leaving the rest of the hair down. Similarly twist two more sections on the sides.  A total of 3 twisted hair sections and the hair let down on the back.

11. Side part or middle part of your hair and make a number of thin braids out of small sections of hair. Accessorize with barrettes, pins and clips.

12. Puff up your hair (unless you have a long face) by twisting a section of hair from the top of your head and then pushing it ahead. Pin it to secure. Braid the rest of your hair in one thick braid.

13. Make messy buns - the ones that look like a donut with your hair coming out of it evenly. To make them, make a ponytail and then lower your head and spread your hair all around your head. Tie an elastic band around this circle. This forms the donut. Now, tuck in all the extra hair into the elastic band. Make one at the back or two at the sides.

14. Middle part your hair. Take hair sections from each side and make thin braids. Now gather these braids along with the remaining hair and tie into a ponytail or a thicker braid.

15. Use scarves and bandanas for headbands. You can match them to your outfits.

16. French braids are great for novelty.

17. Curls. Leave hair down or tie back in a ponytail.

18. Waves. Instead of stuff curls, go in for loose waves.

19. Straight hair with headbands - thin, broad, lacy or using scarves as headbands.

20. Lots of thin braids or twists from the top of your head going back into a ponytail or a half up-half down hairdo.
