Sunflower - Lesson Idea for Preschoolers
An interesting way to teach about sunflower is to involve the
kids in a little craft activity first and then start teaching.
What you will need:
- Sunflower cutout in yellow color
- Black beads
- Craft Glue
How To:
1. Prepare a cutout of a sunflower on yellow cardboard.
2. Apply thin glue over the center as the class begins.
3. Ask each student to glue a black bead in the center to form
the pollen.
4. Once the sunflower is done, teach the students about the
sunflower using the prepared sunflower as an example.
Things to Teach:
1. Sunflower is a flower.
2. Show it's colors. Teach 'yellow' and 'black'.
3. Ask students to count it's petals.
4. What things can be made using it.
